Waregem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Beveren, Desselgem[?], Sint-Eloois-Vijve[?] and Waregem proper. On January 1st, 2000 Waregem had a total population of 35,839 (17,731 males and 18,108 females). The total area is 45.26 km² which gives a population density of 791.85 inhabitants per km².
