Tameside

Tameside is one of ten Metropolitan Borough Council areas in Greater Manchester in the north west of England. It lies 7 miles east of Manchester and consists of nine towns which were brought together in 1974. Tameside borders onto the county of Derbyshire, Oldham MBC, Stockport[?] MBC and Manchester City Council.
