Sunlight

Sunlight in the broad sense is the total spectrum of electromagnetic radiation given off by the Sun (the star Sol).

Alternatives:

  • Just the visible light.
  • The solar radiation as filtered through the Earth's atmosphere. The latter varies at different places and at different times due to climatic or other conditions. If not much is blocked it is called sunshine.
  • Just the visible light in the latter.
