Stormarn is a Kreis (district) in the southern part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated between the cities of Hamburg and Lübeck. Area 766 km², population 219,500 (2001). The district's capital is Bad Oldesloe[?].
The Trave[?] river flows through the district before entering the city of Luebeck. In the southernmost portion of Stormarn are the eastern suburbs of the Hamburg metropolitan area.
