Situated in Sabah, Borneo, Mount Kinabalu is South East Asia's highest mountain, at 4093 m above sea level. Known as one of the easiest 'highest mountains' to climb, Kinabalu can be climbed by a person of normal health, and requires no mountaineering equipment.
The mountain is contained within a national park, and features a large variety of fauna, including wild pitcher plants.

Mount Kinabalu is most easily reached from Kota Kinabalu[?], the administrative capital of Sabah. Huts within the national park can be booked by telephoning the parks' authority. A typical ascent of the mountain involves a first overnight stay at the base, followed by an ascent to some huts about 75% of the way to the top.
