Dublin is the county that contains the city of Dublin, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland.
County Dublin is located on the East coast of Ireland in the province of Leinster. It is the third smallest county in Ireland with a land area of 445 square miles.
Administratively, County Dublin is divided into four:
- Dublin City, in the centre
- South Dublin[?], in the south-west
- Dun Laoghaire Rathdown[?], in the south-east
- Fingal[?], in the north
Each of these regions is the equivalent of a full county and is administered by a county council, except Dublin City which has a City council.
